Villarreal boss, Javi Calleja is satisfied with the performance of Samuel Chukwueze and his teammates after securing another league win on Tuesday.

The victory over Mallorca at the Estadio de la Ceramica made it two over two for Yellow Submarine after the league restart over the game. After coming on as a second-half substitute last weekend, Chukwueze was handed a place in the starting in eleven and the Super Eagles forward delivered once more with an assist that produced the only goal of the game.

Speaking after the game, Calleja praised the Nigerian’s hard work and the rest of the team for their hard work and highlighted the importance of picking all the three points.

“We have played a complete match, from start to finish. In the first part we were already able to score. After the break, we leveled off a bit more until the final minutes came. Then we were more vertical and the players we have made the difference.

“Those who have started from the bench were aware of what the game needed. The work has been extraordinary for everyone,” he told the club’s website.

Chukwueze has now provided four for his teammates this season and also scored two goals.

Villarreal is 7th in the premier division table with 44 points from 29 games.
