Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has signed for Italian Serie A side Crotone on a three-year deal.

The hardworking defensive midfielder joined the newly-promoted side after ending his association with Turkish side Denizlispor over unpaid wages.

Onazi had his medical at the club on Wednesday Afternoon and the deal was announced shortly after.

The 27-year-old 2013 African cup of Nations winner is not new to Italian football, haven played for SS Lazio where he started his professional career.

The former Trabzonspor midfielder will now link up with compatriot and striker Simy Nwankwo who played a pivotal role in the club’s return to the top flight.
