Paul Onuachu has won the Ebony shoe for the Best African player In Belgium for last season.

The Super Eagles striker enjoyed a good season with Genk, where he finished as Belgian Jupiler league top scorer.

The lanky 27-year-old forward scored 35 goals in all competitions and helped them to Belgian Cup glory and Champions League qualification for next season.

Onuachu saw off competition from Théo Bongonda, Albert Sambi, Lokonga, Lukas Nmecha and Clinton Mata to win the award.

Onuachu who also won the golden shoe and player of the year award became the fifth Nigerian to win the award after Daniel Amiokachi, Victor Ikpeba, Godwin Okapara and Celestine Babayaro (1996).

Onuachu is expected to be in action later this evening when the Super Eagles take on Indomitable Lions in an international friendly in Austria.
