Newly-promoted Premier League club Brentford have officially opened talks with FC Midtjylland over midfielder Frank Onyeka.

According to Sky Sports, the Bees are interested in signing the 23-year-old ahead of the new season and have already began negotiations.

The reports revealed that Brentford are interested in signing the Super Eagles player on a season long loan deal with an option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

Talks understood to be fruitful as both team are owned by top businessman Matthew Benham.

Matthew Benham saved the Brentford from financial ruin before helping guide them to promotion to the Premier League, last season.

Onyeka, on his part has scored 17 goals in over 100 appearances for the Danish club since joining from Nigerian side FC Ebedei.
