Super Eagles Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has signed a long-term contract with Dutch Eredivisie side Sparta Rotterdam.

The Dutch club confirmed the 21-year-old inked a new four years contract via their official website on Wednesday.

“Sparta Rotterdam and Maduka Okoye have agreed a contractextension. The 21-year old goalkeeper signs a new contract for fourseasons, as a result of which he is stuck at Het Kasteel until 2025,” the club confirmed.

Signed from German side, Fortuna Dusserdolf last summer, Okoye settled down quickly and a sensational start to life at the club, helping them retain their topflight status, after a poor start to the campaign.

Okoye kept ten clean sheets in 27 appearances to help the club finished 8th in the league.

The performance earned him the Club’s Player Of the year award and he was subsequently linked with a move to Dutch Eredivisie Champions Ajax Amsterdam.
