Former Monaco striker Victor Ikpeba says, The Super Eagles lacks personnels to dominate Africa, but he’s convinced they can qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ikpeba stated this after the Super Eagles defeated Central African Republic 2-0 in FIFA World Cup qualifying match played in Cameroon on Sunday.

Leon Balogun put the Gernot Rohr side ahead after 16th minutes, before Victor Osimhen sealed the three points with a fantastic finish from close range on the stroke of half time.

Reacting to the overall performance of the team at the ongoing Qatar 2022 qualifiers, Ikpeba who scored Nigeria’s winner against Bulgaria in France 98 World Cup, opined that the squad isn’t good enough to dominate the continent.

“I have always said that this team can win the Nations Cup but we are not the best when it comes to African Football right now. At this point we have to beat Cape Verde because the destiny is in our hands.”

“We don’t have the team to dominate African football but we have the team to qualify for the World Cup.” he said on Monday night football.
