A top club in Tanzania is reportedly interested in signing Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa according to the Media Officer of the Nigeria U20 team Andrew Randa.

The deal will see the Tanzanian club pay $30,000 as sign-on fee to his club Heartland, while Ezenwa would receive a house, car and a salary.

An 18-month deal is currently on the table for the goalkeeper, who has never played for a club outside the country.

The three top teams in Tanzania at the moment are Azam FC, Simba SC and Young Africans SC (Yanga Boys).

Ezenwa, who has 21 international caps for Nigeria started his professional career with Ocean Boys and has played for many top clubs in the country – including Enyimba.

The 32-year-old was a member of the Nigeria U-23 team at the 2008 Summer Olympics and has represented Nigeria at the WAFU Cup, Nations Cup and World Cup.

The Olympics silver medallist was omitted from the Super Eagles squad in their last friendly match and also missed out on the squad to play against Sierra Leone this month.

Meanwhile, the former Ifeanyi Ubah shot-stopper is currently on standby in the event of injury to any goalkeeper named in the original list.
