Odion Ighalo said he will remain a professional until his last day at Manchester United.

Ighalo has struggled for playing time at Manchester United this season, no thanks to the arrival of Edison Cavani at the club.

The 31-year-old is at the tail end of his loan deal with the club and it is unlikely United will prolong his stay.

Despite scoring five goals in 19 appearances for United last season, Ighalo last started a match for Manchester United back in September 2020.

Ighalo told ESPN, he will continue to work hard in training and continue to give his best for the club.

“I’m a professional, I don’t make trouble and I don’t complain,” he said. “I just go to training and give my best.

“Lately I haven’t been playing much but it’s the coach’s decision. If I’m not in the team and give them 100% support. The team is doing well and that’s the most important thing,” He said

Ighalo’s loan deal is set to expire at the end of this month and the former Nigeria international is expected to return to his parent club Shanghai Shenhua where he still has twelve months on his contract.
