Victor Osimhen is a major doubt for Napoli’s Europa league clash with Granada on Thursday.

Osimhen was discharged from hospital on Monday evening after a head injury during the 4-2 loss to Atalanta on Sunday.

Napoli has now confirmed the Forward was examined on his arrival to Naples and the test results came back negative, but he didn’t take part in training session on Tuesday afternoon.

“Victor Osimhen underwent further tests, with all coming back negative. The striker will now rest for a period of a few days before gradually returning to training. His condition will be monitored on a daily basis,” a Club statement read.

The 22 year-old has been unlucky with injury since joining the club from Lille, it would be recalled that he also missed two months action due to a shoulder injury.

Gennaro Gattuso’s men trail 2- 0 from the first-leg and needed at least three unreplied goal at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to be guaranteed a place in the last 16.
