Defender Kelvin Akpoguma has stated that the Super Eagles is committed to picking a maximum of six points from the games against the Central African Republic.

Akpoguma made this known while speaking with brila.net immediately after the team’s training session on Wednesday evening.

The three-time African champions are currently topping Group C with six points from two wins, but the Hoffenheim defender said the team wants to continue matching on.

“We just want to have our points. Nine points from three games will be great and that’s what we want.”

“The central African Republic aren’t a bad side, so we have to up our game as well. Our target remains three points.” He told brila.net

Nigeria will host the Central African Republic in the first game at the Teslim Balogun Stadium this Thursday.

The team will then depart for Doula, Cameroon for the second meeting on Friday.
