William Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo said they had a torrid time flying from Nigeria to Douala for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers match against Central African earlier this month.
Recalled, The Super Eagles engaged the Wild Beasts at the Stade Omnisports in Cameroon for their fourth Group C game, three days after the embarrassing home defeat to the Raoul Savouy’s men.
Speaking about their experience, before, Ekong and Omeruo said they had a difficult time flying to Douala, but were happy they made it through without any problems.
“The flight to Douala was scary, I was nervous, and good there is no kid in there. But thank God we made it. ” The defenders said in a video shared on William Troost-Ekong’s YouTube channel.
Nigeria won the game 2-0, thanks to goals from Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen.
