Super Eagles duo of Cyriel Dessers and Paul Onuachu helped their club KRC Genk to secure a vital win over Gent in a Belgian top-flight league game on Monday.

The duo was involved in different half but it was Dessers who made the bigger impact as he came off the bench to assist the goal that handed  Genk the maximum three points.

Onuachu who had scored eight league goals in the past nine matches started the game, but he was unable to add to his tally on the night.

The former Midtjylland striker was withdrawn in the 78th minutes and Dessers who took his place provided the assist for Patrik Hrosovsky’s winning goal for Genk in the 84th minute.

In the first half, Theo Bongonda scored in the 40th minute to canceled Alessio Castro-Montes opener for Gent in the 24th minute.

Cyriel Dessers has now made 7 appearances for KRC Gent since his move from Heracles Almelo and has played 414 minutes in total scoring 2 goals and provided 1 assist.
