Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti says he’s willing to have a conversation with Alex Iwobi regarding his favorite position on the pitch.

It would be recalled that Iwobi sparked reactions on social media during the week when he suggested that he hasn’t been playing in his favorite position for quite some time.

Although it is unclear who Iwobi was referring to between Ancelotti and his national team manager Gernot Rohr but the former AC Milan and Chelsea boss said he’s open to having a conversation with him about his favorite position.

“I read the post. I want to speak to him, of course,” said Ancelotti.

“I want to know his preferred position because usually, I want to put a player on the pitch where they are comfortable to play, not where they are uncomfortable to play. If he has an idea of where he prefers to play I have to know, I want to know. I would be delighted to know his preferred position and I’ll put him in his preferred position for sure, no doubt.” he said in his interview ahead of the clash with Burnley.

Ancelotti has deployed Iwobi to several positions for Everton this season, including a wing-back role.
