The Franco-German coach made this known while speaking about his team showings in recent matches played in Port Novo and Lagos.

Enyimba duo of John Noble and Anayo Iwuala along with Abia Warriors defender Adeleke Adekunle were part of Rohr’s 23 man squad for the recent Afcon qualifiers against the Benin Republic and Lesotho.
Although John Noble and Adeleke Adekunle didn’t get the opportunity to make their debut, winger Anayo Iwuala was a second-half substitute in both games and made a good impression.
“We brought in Enyimba and Abia Warriors players, I saw them and they are good players. Iwuala played twice, in the first match ( against the Benin Republic) he came in and I think a lot of people were surprised that he played.” Rohr said.
“Normally we must have a CHAN team, where the best local players play, but it is very difficult for them to come into the main Super Eagles now, but now with the special circumstances and traveling restrictions, we have the opportunity to bring them in,” he said.
“The other ones ( John Noble and Adeleke Adekunle) also gave us a good impression in training, so let’s what we happen, because these three players are going to be interesting for the Chan team and very soon we will have a coach to prepare the team.” He concluded.
