Nigeria striker Kelechi Iheanacho is excited to help Leicester City move closer to their Champions League dream with a 2-1 success over Crystal Palace at King Power Stadium on Monday.

Iheanacho scored one and assisted the other as the Foxes came from behind to beat Roy Hodgson-led Crystal Palace.

Ivorian forward Wilfred Zaha put the visitors ahead after 12 minutes, but Iheanacho set up Timothy Castagne for Leicester City’s equalizer, before scoring what looks to be a goal of the season contender to rescue the three points for his team.

He has now scored 14 goals in his last 14 Leicester games, but he’s more excited about the three points.

“It’s a massive three points for us,” he told LCFC TV. “It’s a great night and it was a great finish – I enjoyed that one.”

On how he scored the wonder strike, Iheanacho has this to say :

“I think at that moment, I controlled it down. It’s just one thing – I wasn’t thinking about anything, just shift and shoot and it could go anywhere.

“It was great character from us. We stayed in the game. It was a sloppy goal at half-time, so in the second half, we changed a few things.
